MOROCCO ITINERARY : 12 Days Tour From Tangier

Day 01 : Tangier – Chefchaouen

The Morocco Tour from Tangier starts at the port or your hotel. Afterwards, we will travel to Chefchaouen. ” the blue Jewellery “. Its buildings and houses are all painted in blue and white and it is one of the most beautiful towns in Rif mountains. You will have free time to explore it by yourself. We spend this night in the hotel.

Day 02 : Free day in Chefchaouen

Day 03 : Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After the breakfast in your hotel, our journey will start towards Volubilis crossing Ouazan and other Rif villages, in Volubilis we will stop to discover the roman ruins and learn about the archeological site of Moroccan history, after the visit of the ruins we will shift our way to Meknes city the 17th century heritage where we will stop for lunch and hang around the historical huge walls of the medina, Bab El Mansour. Overnight stay in the riad.

Day 04 : Exploring Fes

After breakfast, you will begin exploring Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco. Walk through its narrow streets and discover its rich history and culture.

The tour includes visits to the Royal Palace Gate, the Jewish Quarter (Mellah), and several important historical landmarks. You will also visit the famous Al Quaraouiyine University, considered one of the oldest universities in the world, as well as the traditional tanneries and the Moulay Idriss Mausoleum.

After lunch in a traditional Moroccan restaurant, visit a local pottery and tile cooperative. The day concludes with a panoramic view over the Medina of Fes.

Day 05 : Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Merzouga

After bre akfast, you will travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains via lfrane, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” and Azrou. We will stop at the cedar forest to see the Barbary macaques. Then, we continue south through beautiful landscapes. nomadic settlements, and volcanic rock formations. After lunch in Midelt, you will cross the Tizi N’Talghomt Pass and enjoy panoramic views of the Ziz Valley.

Later, you will continue through Erfoud and arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 06 : Merzouga area and the Camel Trek

After breakfast, you will begin an exploratory tour of the Merzouga region. Visit local nomadic families living in traditional tents and learn about their unique desert lifestyle.

Visit the Gnaoua people and learn about their culture. In addition, you may visit the Lake of Merzouga, home to various migratory birds, including flamingos.

In the afternoon, you will head to the Erg Chebbi dunes for an unforgettable camel trekking experience. Enjoy the breathtaking Sahara Desert landscapes and watch the sunset over the golden sand dunes.

After sunset, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner at the desert camp. Spend the night in a comfortable camp equipped with private Western-style bathrooms, or sleep under the stars for a truly magical experience.

Day 07 : Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Tinghir – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges
Wake up early morning to enjoy the sunrise on the top of the dunes in the sahara desert, then have your breakfast. After these beautiful moments, you will ride your camel back to the hotel where you can shower. We depart towards Tinghir passing by Erfoud and Tinejdad. Have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, we will continue to Todra gorges via Tinghir. Stopping along the way for photos and admiring the views. Arrival to Todra Gorges to enjoy its marvelous Canyons views while hiking on foot, and finally arrive in the Dades Valley where we will have dinner and spend the night.

Day 08 : Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate- Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, we will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kelaat M’Gouna and Ouarzazate.

Known as the “Road of a Thousand Kasbahs,” this route offers spectacular scenery and excellent photo opportunities. We will visit the Rose Valley and Skoura Oasis before continuing to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa.

After lunch, visit Ait Ben Haddou. Afterwards, the journey continues through the High Atlas Mountains.

The journey then continues across the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters. Along the way, we will stop to admire the panoramic views and visit a local argan oil cooperative.

Arrival in Marrakech is expected in the late afternoon. Overnight stay in a riad.

Day 09 : Exploring Marrakech
After breakfast begin to discover the red city of Morocco “Marrakech”. With the most visited and superb sites of cultural and historical interest you’ll see the Saadian tombs, the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Bahia Palace. Then near the famous square of Marrakech take your delicious traditional lunch and stroll in the local souks to see hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon, take your complete free time to wander in the city by yourself through its other parts. Overnight stay in the riad.

Day 10 : Marrakech – Essaouira – Marrakech
Today after breakfast we drive to Essaouira, a coastal city and a historically prestigious point in Morocco. After arrival, you’ll discover the ancient streets, museums and castles and the bronze cannons. In the afternoon we get back to Marrakech and we stay here overnight in a riad.

Day 11 : Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah
Today we head to Rabat, and we’ll pass through important cities like Casablanca, Rabat (capital of Morocco) where we visit Hassan II Mosque. Then we drive north till we arrive to Asilah a stylish town on the coast, gleaming with the blue colour. We stay here overnight in a riad.

Day 12 : Asilah – Tangier

After breakfast, we will drive to Tangier. Depending on your departure schedule, you may have time to visit some of the city’s attractions before being transferred to the ferry port or airport.
